Maples Teesdale promotes 1 new partner and 2 of counsel

Maples Teesdale, boutique real estate firm, has promoted a new partner effective 1 June 2022 and two senior associates to Of Counsel.

Commercial real estate specialist Chris Xitsas has been promoted to Partner in the commercial real estate team. Chris joined Maples Teesdale as an associate in 2009 after training at DLA Piper.

Chris has a broad range of experience across all aspects of investment, development, and asset management work, as well as strategic land advice.
Chris specialises in capital transactions and active management of office parks and retail assets, with a particular focus on the repositioning of town-centre shopping centres. He also has notable experience in site assembly, collaboration, and land promotion agreements (acting for promoters and owners) and has a deep knowledge of development projects acting for institutional investors, student accommodation developers and educational institutions.

Tom Farrell and Zoe Miller, both in the real estate finance team, have been promoted to Of Counsel. Tom joined Maples Teesdale in 2018 as a senior associate from Irwin Mitchell. Prior to that he trained and practiced at DLA Piper. Zoe Miller joined Maples Teesdale in 2019 as a senior associate from Dentons, having trained and qualified at McGrigors (now Pinsent Masons).

Chris Wilkinson, managing partner at Maples Teesdale, said “We are delighted to welcome Chris into the partnership. Following the recent promotion of Jo Preece to partner in our Construction team, this promotion enhances our partner-led service and commitment to our clients. The promotion of Tom and Zoe to Of Counsel reflects the talented team we have at Maples Teesdale and the strength and depth across the business.”
