Horwich Farrelly, the UK’s leading legal advisers to the insurance and commercial sectors, has expanded its team with the appointment of two new partners, during a period of growth for the firm.

Andrea Everett has been appointed Partner and Head of Key Account Management. She is a solicitor with over 25 years’ experience working with some of the UK’s largest composite insurers. She will be working with Miles Cowan, Head of Client Services and Markets, to lead the Key Account Programme at Horwich Farrelly.

Andrea joins from DWF, where she was Account Director for over 6 years. Over the last 15 years as a Senior Account Manager, she was responsible for all aspects of contract management, client relationship and supplier performance. From early contract negotiation to building and growing strong and successful partnerships, Andrea delivers the very best of outcomes for both supplier and client.  She has worked collaboratively on all types of legal supply from large scale pre-lit delegated authority outsources to complex /specialist lines.

Toby Evans has been appointed Partner at Horwich Farrelly. Toby is a solicitor with 16 years’ experience in insurance fraud and joins Horwich Farrelly from Keoghs, where he was a Partner for the last 8 years, managing a number of client accounts and relationships as well as handling complex fraud files. Toby will be working with existing and new clients to help drive the continued growth of Horwich Farrelly’s market-leading fraud proposition.

His primary focus throughout his career has been on insurance fraud, advising on fraud risk and strategy, predominantly in motor but also including employers’ liability, first party and public liability fraud. At a strategic level, Toby has been involved in setting the fraud strategy for a number of insurers and fleets, as well as providing training and insight on topics such as reforms and fraudulent claims, recoveries, the litigation process, healthcare fraud and Tort of Deceit.
