Top 100 Law Firm Express Solicitors Acquires New Office Building

Express Solicitors are proud to announce that they have completed the £4.4 million purchase of a new office in line with their strategic growth plans.

The firm is in a process of consolidating its four offices, relocating approximately a mile away from its longstanding base in Northenden to the modern 40,000 sq. ft. building.

Managing Partner, James Maxey said ‘It is wonderful to see our firm expand to the point where we require offices of this magnitude. We are pleased to be on track with our growth plans aided by the continued support of RBS, our long-term banking partner. We operate a hybrid office working policy across the business. This modern space will give us room to grow towards 1000 staff. We will continue to recruit people from the local South Manchester area at all levels in the organisation and are always look for growth opportunities in terms of acquiring caseloads and competitors. We are in a very strong position and have the funds available to further increase our marketing spend.’

The site has excellent accessibility from both the road and public transport networks and offers a generous 170 car parking spaces. Express Solicitors are reported to be very keen to undertake a number of green initiatives as part of the move. This includes the installation of several rows of electric car charging points for clients and staff. There is also scope to utilise solar and air source heat pump technology to increase the efficiency of energy consumption across the 1.75-acre site.

The firm was advised by JMW Solicitors LLP, Manchester in respect of conveyancing and O’Connors Legal Services Limited, Liverpool in respect of commercial matters. Specialist tax advice was provided by accountants, DJH Mitten Clarke, who dealt with VAT and capital allowance points.

Maxey said, ‘This new office purchase for Express Solicitors is part of our plans to become the No. 1 personal injury practice, the “go to” brand in the UK’.
