WJM Enhances Team with 12 New Appointments Including Four Senior Associates

Leading Scottish law firm Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie LLP (WJM) has strengthened its workforce with the addition of 12 new hires.

The expansion includes the arrival of four Senior Associates alongside eight further appointments across various departments. The growth comes as the firm, which recently merged with Davidson Chalmers Stewart, continues to advise a diverse client base across multiple sectors.

In Edinburgh, Brittany Thomas has joined as a Senior Associate within the Family Law team, bringing with her substantial expertise in cross-border cases.

Brittany was among a select group of Scottish solicitors to have undertaken a specialist traineeship in family law and has dedicated her career to the field. Her experience spans financial provision in divorce and separation, contact and residence disputes, as well as cohabitation cases.

The Edinburgh office also welcomes Mhairi Foye as a Senior Associate in the Planning team. She has extensive experience advising developers, private clients and public sector organisations on a wide range of planning matters.

In Glasgow, Susan Currie has joined the Conflict Resolution department as a Senior Associate. She supports clients at every stage of dispute resolution – from pre-litigation matters through to enforcement of court orders.

Chris Agnew has also joined the Family Law team as a Senior Associate. He brings significant expertise in navigating the Scottish legal aid system and is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in Child Law.

Other additions include Eden Cameron-Perry, who joins the Conflict Resolution Group as a Solicitor, and Caitlin Giblin, who has taken up the role of Legal Administrator in the Family Law team in Glasgow.

The Inverness office has welcomed Legal Administrators Sarah Hogg and Stephanie Mitchell, further enhancing support for clients in the Highlands.

Strengthening the firm’s support services, WJM has added four new team members across its Edinburgh and Glasgow offices: Credit Controller Angela Rao, Senior Legal Cashier Nicola Gemmell, Facilities Co-ordinator Fiona Chapman and Front of House Assistant Katherine Lorimer.

Fraser Gillies, Managing Partner at WJM, says: “We are always on the lookout for the highest quality recruits to join our firm and support our clients, and we are proud to welcome these talented individuals as our firm continues to grow across the country.”
