Michael Cummins Employment Solicitors has launched its second office, marking its first presence in the West Midlands with a new location at 55 Colmore Row, Birmingham. This premium office complements the firm’s original base in the East Midlands, established in 2022 by Michael Cummins. Michael stated, “Our new Birmingham office, situated in the city’s vibrant business and legal district, supports our goal to expand throughout the West Midlands and further afield.”
“We have consistently grown in each of our three years in business and that has included an increasing client base in the West Midlands. We have added three new staff members in just the last six months, a significant growth step for our young and specialist practice.
“Many of our team live in the West Midlands – and I was originally from Birmingham and went to school and worked in the city – so having a Colmore Row office is good for them and good for the current and future clients we intend to attract.”
The client base that Michael Cummins Employment Solicitors provides employment law expertise to includes large national companies and international clients with a UK base and staff. It is developing particularly well in the education and financial services sectors.
The team is characterised by vast experience in employment law at widely respected firms and an ethos of personalised service for all clients. Recent arrivals include senior associates Kate Cauldwell-Hunt and Katie Baker-Clifton and legal assistant Sally Smojkis.
Michael said: “Our offices and our team match our ambitions for growth and we like that we punch above our weight in the services we provide and the importance of the cases we increasingly are involved in resolving to our clients’ satisfaction.
“We want to attract more solicitors and support staff to join us, so having a presence in both the East and West Midlands will help us. And we don’t want to stop there – we want to expand our footprint and look to other major commercial cities in the future.”
Michael launched Michael Cummins Employment Solicitors after he sold his previous company Cummins Solicitors to the law group Knights after nine years in business. Previously Michael was a partner at Gateley and then Freeths.
