Law firm Devonshires has promoted five solicitors to partner in its annual promotions round taking the number of partners at the firm to 53.
Two solicitors, Rachel Orgill-Harris and Natalie Swales, are promoted in the firm’s Banking, Corporate & Governance team.
Carlos Fernandes, from the Property Securitisation team, Joanna Bouloux from Real Estates & Projects and Pauline Lépissier from Litigation and Dispute Resolution are also promoted.
The promotions follow a sustained period of growth for the firm with partner Krissun Soodin joining the London Real Estate and Projects team and three experienced solicitors joining the Leeds office in the past year. The firm has also recently taken on 12 new trainee solicitors, taking the number of trainees at the firm to 33.
Just over 12 months ago, the firm also opened an office in Birmingham with the arrival of Gemma Bell, together with three other lawyers specialising in advising on corporate, regulatory and governance issues.
Philip Barden, senior partner of Devonshires, says: “Congratulations to all five of our newly promoted partners. They are all excellent solicitors with a passion for getting the best possible outcome for their clients.
“I’m delighted that these recent promotions also take our female partner count to over 45% demonstrating our ambition to attract and develop a diverse workforce. The future success of the firm will be in their hands, so it is gratifying and reassuring to welcome ambitious, driven and hard-working lawyers to the partnership at an exciting time of growth for us.”
