North West law firm Napthens has appointed Kieran Donovan as the new head of its Liverpool office.

Kieran, who has also been made a partner, brings more than two decades’ corporate transactional experience to the firm.

He joins from Weightmans, where he led its owner-managed business group across the Liverpool city region from 2017 to 2022. Previously, he was head of corporate at a regional law firm and prior to that a partner at an international law firm.

He will work across a wide range of industries and clients, as he advises on disposals, M&A, venture capital, private equity and more.

Hailed a ‘leading individual’ in corporate law in the North West, in the Legal 500 was a major success for him. He also chairs the Liverpool City Region Corporate Finance Group that comprises more than 50 members from the city region’s corporate finance community.

His appointment follows a series of senior hires over the past year and a significant upgrade to a larger office in The Plaza on Old Hall Street, Liverpool.
