Yorkshire law firm named third fastest growing in Europe creates another 15 new jobs as team increases headcount by 110% in five years

Leeds Law Firm Clarion is once again putting the Yorkshire legal community on the national and international map, this time by being named the third fastest growing law firm in the whole of Europe in rankings compiled by leading trade magazine The Lawyer. The firm is continuing to grow its team as it recruits for another 15 jobs.

Clarion was recognised for having achieved the third highest level of organic growth over the last five full financial years with revenue increasing by more than four fifths (85.2 per cent) since 2017. The firm also saw a huge rise in the size of its team which grew from 140 five years ago to 295 now – an uplift of over 110%.

Joint managing partner Roger Hutton said: “This is further evidence of Leeds’ position as an outstanding legal centre with a rich pool of talent. As people have become more used to remote working over the last few years, we’ve seen even more businesses looking beyond London for legal skills and we, along with other firms in the region, have been successful in attracting work both from the capital and internationally.

“Alongside Clarion’s carefully-planned growth programme, we have undertaken an ambitious recruitment initiative to support expansion across our various practices, including building resource within both our legal and support teams.”

Hutton continues: “Increasingly, lawyers in London and beyond are recognising the fantastic opportunities for career progression offered in Leeds as well as the great work/life balance of living in Yorkshire. At Clarion, we have worked incredibly hard to create an inclusive and collaborative environment where colleagues feel valued.
