DWF, the global provider of integrated legal and business services, has appointed Jenny Leonard, former Director of Operational Policing Law at the Metropolitan Police, as a director in its police, care and justice team.
With over 25 years of experience at the Metropolitan Police, Jenny brings deep expertise in civil and public law, operational policing, and national security. Throughout her career, she has acted on high-profile cases before the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court, provided legal guidance during critical national incidents, and overseen significant inquests and public inquiries.
Her appointment strengthens DWF’s capacity to advise on complex policing, regulatory, and justice matters, further solidifying its position as a trusted legal partner across public sector services.
Jenny is recognised as a leader in counter-terrorism law, having advised on live operational matters and major legal proceedings.
In addition to her legal expertise, Jenny has extensive experience leading teams to deliver high-quality advice and representation across a wide range of issues. In 2025, she was awarded the OBE for her services to policing and national security.
