Gloucestershire-based WSP Solicitors has welcomed two new solicitors, Nafeesa Hussain and Destiny Keville, as the firm continues to expand in response to rising demand for legal services.
With over 260 years of history in the county, WSP now employs 64 team members. The firm has made significant strides in recent months, including the opening of a new office in Gloucester’s Elmbridge East Business Park earlier this year, alongside its established Stroud location, as it drives forward a strategy of sustained growth.
Joining the Corporate team, solicitor Nafeesa Hussain previously held roles at Harrison Clark Rickerbys, Bradley Haynes Law, and Davies and Partners. Nafeesa advises on all aspects of corporate law including the buying and selling of businesses, restructuring, shareholders’ agreements, share buybacks, as well as providing general corporate advice to clients.
Destiny Keville is a solicitor in WSP Solicitors’ Child Law team, within the Family Law Department. Previously of Tanners Solicitors, Destiny’s expertise includes private children arrangements, non-molestation orders, and domestic abuse support for victims.
Nafeesa said: “I’m delighted to have joined WSP Solicitors at a truly exciting time for the business, which is no more evident in the opening of the new office at Elmbridge East. The firm has a strong presence in the region and its culture, DNA, and human approach is what truly drew me in.
“In the face-paced corporate world, it’s important our clients have the support from a team that responds quickly while having the ability to adapt to every situation to get the deal done. For me it’s essential to understand what is important to our clients so we can help them strategically to achieve their goals while building long term, trusted partnerships.”
Child Law team solicitor, Destiny added: “We work in a very sensitive, emotive area of law. I love that my job makes a real difference to clients’ lives. The WSP team is incredibly specialised in what they do, I’m looking forward to adding my expertise to the team and helping to change the lives of our clients.”
As well as the new appointments, WSP Solicitors has announced a new solicitor training contract for Joanna Harvey, previously a paralegal in the Family Department and Jamie Jukes as a Trainee Solicitor Apprentice. As an apprentice, Jamie will qualify through the new Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) pathway – a qualification introduced in 2021, to replace the Legal Practice Course (LPC) vocational program, which ends in 2032.
Judi Bonham, Managing Director added: “We’re thrilled to welcome both Nafeesa and Destiny to the WSP team. Their appointments reflect our continued commitment to strengthening our service offerings across key practice areas as demand continues to grow.
“It’s fantastic to be announcing our new training and apprentice contracts too, especially to be investing in the new SQE route, demonstrating our progressive approach to developing our people. Both Joanna and Jamie have been with us since 2022, joining as paralegals. These next steps in their legal careers mark our dedication to empowering our team, nurturing our own talent, and our commitment to personal and professional development.
“We’re committed to making life less complicated for all our clients, we know that all four will play an important role in this.”
