Freeths Advises Arbolus on Growth Investment to Drive Global Expansion

National law firm Freeths has provided legal counsel to expert insights platform Arbolus in securing its latest growth equity investment. The deal introduces Composition Capital as a significant new shareholder, supporting Arbolus’s ambitious plans for international expansion.

Operating under the name Collective IQ Group, Arbolus offers a cutting-edge platform that enables investors and consultants from leading consulting firms, hedge funds, and private equity groups to gain exclusive insights on companies, enhancing their research and due diligence processes.

Composition Capital, acting as a sub-advisor to certain sub-funds of Kayne Anderson Capital, is an investment firm focused on technology and tech-enabled businesses.

This new investment will see Arbolus primed to reinforce its position as the leading disruptor in the expert insights industry, with a mission of making human knowledge digital and widely accessible.

The Freeths legal team was led by Corporate Partner Robert Chidley supported by Senior Associate Henrietta Rendell and Associate Lottie Beange.

Robert Chidley said: “Having been involved with Collective and the Founders, Sam and Will, for over five years, it’s great to see it go from strength to strength and the addition of Composition Capital as an investor cements this growth.”

Commenting on the deal, Samuel Glasswell, Co-Founder of Arbolus, added: “We have known Rob and the team from Freeths for some time. They did incredible work for us on this transaction, as they have done on a number of other matters in the past. We look forward to continuing our work together as we continue to scale Arbolus over the coming years.”
